Injuries can be prevented and we strive for an “Zero Harm” working environment, communication and consulting is the number one key to working together for a safer workplace.
Heavy Metal Equipment will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in property damage, incidents or personal injury/illness. All employees and contractors will be equally responsible for minimizing incidents within our facilities. Safe work practices and job procedures will be clearly defined and continue to be developed in the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Program for all employees to follow. All workers have a right to a safe and healthy work environment. Accidental loss can be controlled through good management in combination with active employee involvement.

Our goal is to provide our staff and subcontractors with the knowledge and training needed to work safely in an environment free from hazards in order to achieve a healthy and injury free workplace.

Heavy Metal Health, Safety and Environmental Management Program is not intended to override or replace a Prime Contractor’s Safety Program, it should be used to support it, and always remain in compliance with the current legislation.

Heavy Metal Health, Safety and Environmental Management Program has been developed to work in conjunction with the Federal and Provincial Legislation. The Federal or Provincial Legislation shall remain the minimum standard within all jurisdictions. All employees should be familiar with the Alberta OHS Act, Regulation and Code, the Alberta Traffic Safety Act and all other related legislation. In addition, we are an active member in the Partners in Injury Reduction program in partnership with the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) and have an effective Return to Work program fully supported by the WCB.
